Thoughts on Yamaha TRBX vs BB 5 string?

Possibly I just need to put my thoughts on paper; but I'd love to hear any other opinions.
I need a five string bass. I'd had a few too many occasions now where I've had to sit in on one and I inevitably end up a 4th flat at some point. Having done the rounds of my local music shops I'm down to a BB435 or a TRBX605FM, there the only options I both like and can afford. Problem is I like both of them, and while they play near identically, they sound quite different and I can't make up my mind. So thoughts?

Here's my take:

BB435
  • Half the price (this one has some cosmetic damage so $$ off)
  • Can probably do my home sound well (Heavy La Bella flats on a fender)
  • Bridge pickup a little uninspired
TRBX605FM
  • Neck pickup lacks some depth
  • Bridge pickup is fun
  • B string has more definition (probably a pickup thing)
  • Active? (Probably a boon for taming the occasional interesting back line)
  • Probably will never flatwound thump half as well as the fender. (I'm not sure if this is good or bad)
If anybody has any recordings of either with non stock strings point me at them!
