Through Body Neck Source?

Hi Everyone,

Looking for a through body neck to start building from. Anyone know of a source? I see a couple available from China, and Kiesel has some, but i'm looking for something price and quality somewhere in between.

Not quite ready to build my own necks yet..

Thanks!

I believe given the ebony fingerboards, already fretted and back of neck carved the Kiesel ones have the dollar value. Add to that the quality. Custom one offs from any other maker will be substantially more. Haven't see any from China but I can say cheap will be cheap. I believe Kiesel have theirs on sale right now as well.

P.S. Maybe some links to the Chinese ones so we can have a look to see what they are offering?

I know I've posted this before, but on one of the recent Facebook live events that Keisel did, Jeff said that they would stop selling parts soon because they were just barely keeping up on instrument orders and parts orders slowed them down. I don't know if that's true or how soon "soon" is.

I built a couple Carvin bass kits years ago. Still have one and I must say, no complaints about the quality. My plan was to spend less, and do a couple budget builds before I attempt building a neck. Maybe ill give it a go sooner rather than later.
Go for it. Grab some inexpensive wood (pine maybe) to do some trials on first. Get an idea of the steps and make a plan of attack so to speak. Do drawings and pour over other peoples work on the forums here. Get yourself comfortable with the process and you should be able to tackle a neck.
