A buddy of mine decided to give me a little present of a thumb rest or a tug bar - depending where it's installed I guess.

Notice he sent me a lot of extra plugs to fill the screw holes!
They are in a lot of contrasting and matching colors of wood. My fingerboard is walnut and he made this to match pretty good I think.
Now - does anyone have some general or even the absolute dimensions for the placement of it? I want to use this one as a thumb rest to make me play with my fingertips more.
