I really appreciate all the love. I was able to play it last night and love the way it sounds live. I think this one is a keeper.
D'addario 45-105 are my choice for the bird. Great punch, clear definition. Probs the best growl tone for me ever.

Today in my local classifieds there is an Epiphone Thunderbird Pro-V in black at a reasonable price...
Though I'm not really into active and 5-string basses, I'm kinda tempted...
What do you guys think - Would a Pro-V be a suitable object for an 8 string conversion?
