So basically using either a Epi Pro-IV and a Classic Pro-IV would not be the best choice for an 8 string with 1,5" narrow nut, I guess...?
So if I decide to go the Epi way, that would mean either getting a Pro-V which I do think has a pretty wide neck altogether (1.93" at the nut), or using a standard IV, which has a 1,75" nut...
Also I've noticed that some of my Chinese made Epi's seem to have a slightly chunkier neck, than my Korean ones, so I guess they would be suitable candidates, right?
I'd go with the Pro V, the neck laminations are more likely to stand up to the added strings and the Schaller will cover the original bridge holes no problem. You're going to have to dowel and redrill the headstock. Use 4 bass and 4 guitar tuners.
