Also, I have the opportunity to pick a 71 bird from someone and was wondering if anybody could give me a idea of value. It's been played pretty hard by a guy that was in a pretty popular band in the 80's and 90's.
Yep!
I'm a little south of Seattle, Mike's shop is about 35mins away in Bellevue
It's a place of sweet Thunderbird dreams.................And a Hiwatt DR103!

Bill, (Saltymonkey@LBO) has the pinkie, he's out your way in N.Y. Scott. I am much like you except that I love Reverses and NR's .........always end up selling the NR's. I don't have one right now, yet I'm gassing for one.
Ok so here we go! I had the day off today (sort of) got a little shop time in. From the beginning this bass as been major disappointment and pain in the A#@. Any how I routed for the new pickups and got them installed, new Schaller bridge (thanks Carlo!) CTS pots, new string tree. Also one of my pgs. I still need to replace the tuners. I hope to have it wired up in the next week or so.![]()
Mike lull is building me a NRT5 15% larger (ament approved it) reverse headstock, satin black, no pickguard- sexy- pics to come....
