Thunderbird Club

(what is it with FedEx & poking holes in things? o_O:thumbsdown: )
:)
I talked to a postal inspector about a month ago and he said there are employees that poke generally small holes in some boxes to see if there is anything good in them. Looking for drugs mostly. The Cini/Florence, Ky terminals are of particular concern. Not Fedmess I know, but I imagine the same problem exists in many places.

I always enjoy reading the arguments over the three month process to bring a bass inside when it is hot or cold outside.
The other day someone said they took a neck off a bass, loosened the truss rod, and shipped it to a buyer. The buyer claimed the truss rod was broken. And the OP blamed Fender quality controlo_O

Yes. I've made peace with that fact. Or at least I've tried very hard. Very hard.
I know. We have to face it, this is as close to perfection as we're likely going to get from them. Maybe one day.....

I still don't get moving them around when you have a bass that is highly desirable and has a sought after sound. "We have perfection. I know, let's mess that up!" I get experimenting, but not deviation that affects the tone like that. Has fender moved the PUs on strats? Gibson on LPs? Maybe on a few items, not not an across the board change no one was asking for.

I personally don't get the loosening of the strings when shipping. Necks were designed to have and hold that tension and instruments are moved untold times every day from gig to gig and that isn't done. Not exactly the same I know, but still getting jostled about.
