Glad you got the Thunderbird in the shot. Probably would have been rude to ask the others to step aside for more bass. But with some justification. This was the most Over-the-top band pic we ever did, we're underneath the 1st Ave South bridge in Seattle, the truck belongs to our singer, there's a fog machine going, lights all over the place - kinda Spinal Tap!

Alas not. She had some health problems and is out of commission. Maybe permanently.Any recordings?
Probably already answered, but here it is anyway. Vintage Pro (VP) is the same or nearly the same as a 60s. A Classic Pro (CP) is essentially a Gibson Thunderbird with a poly finish and built in Asia instead of the US. Both are Thunderbirds to the core, but they are a little different. If you can find any of them at a good price, you win. Epiphone stopped making CPs two or three years ago.As much as I'd love to go through 10055 pages of Tbird Club, I just don't have it in me.
As I mentioned in a post that was made only 2-3 days ago but is now buried likely 10 pages back, I am trying to learn more about Tbirds after never having any interest in them before. I am gravitating towards the Epiphone Classic Pro, which seems to be the best bang for buck based on my minimal research. I specifically want to know the differences between the current 60s Tbird (as shown on www.epiphone.com) vs the Classic Pro. I seem to remember seeing that the CP is now called the 60s version?? And what is the Vintage Pro? Who has the spread sheet documenting the differences??
I'm seeing some basses with VVT knobs parallel to the strings. Then I'm seeing others with 4 knobs in a diamond/square pattern. Some basses have chrome pickups and hardware while others have black. Is there a difference beyond aesthetics and looks?
Would love to track down a white one, but that appears to be a unicorn, of sorts.
Thanks TBird Club!
Good price for these days.If any of you guys need a red Thunderbird, this is one I'm not buying

Win the lottery did we? You’re acquiring quite a lot of great gear. I really like the old school Peavy. My back wouldn’t, but I bet it sounds great.

compared to 100w for the pf350 & 63w for the Max 250 combo.......Is that a problem? And yes, the Peavey does sound awesome
But it sucks down a lot of juice - the maual says 800wcompared to 100w for the pf350 & 63w for the Max 250 combo.......
Is that a problem?
I didn't recognize him without the hat.... Never seen that much of Mike either....Mike's left center in that pic.
Oh, neighbors.I guess it depends on how you look at it - that's more than every thing else in my apartment (including the a/c & 'fridge) combined......
But that's probably at full power? Definitely not doing that![]()
you’re supposed to wear the little outfit to keep you cool…

Team, here's how my current bass crush and Tbird obsession inspiration wears her bass. Strap taped on the backside of the bass, pin at BOTTOM of bass on front horn. Someone else commented on the placement on my initial post in the Tbird club, but I'm not sure if I can figure out if she's doing it for looks or comfort/balance, or both?!?!
This is 70's or 80's?
I think Kara must be right. Otherwise it's a convoluted way to go about it if not. Unless you are 5'3" ignore how she does it.View attachment 4632276

From that clip I'm not sure. She still has the neck kind of angled away from her instead of being more close for ease of playing. The way she's playing "seems" like it could be easily achieved by just shortening the strap, so I'm not sure what's going on or way. I would ignore it. Unless you have some oddity in mobility, it would seem what she did will cause more problems than it solves. If she likes it, that's all that matters, but I see no reason to try to emulate it.got it, makes sense. Don't know how tall she is, but that's a clever solve if that's the reason.
screen grab from this video:
check out the killer tone, chops and vocals. Crazy about this band!
