Thunderbird Club

Team, here's how my current bass crush and Tbird obsession inspiration wears her bass. Strap taped on the backside of the bass, pin at BOTTOM of bass on front horn. Someone else commented on the placement on my initial post in the Tbird club, but I'm not sure if I can figure out if she's doing it for looks or comfort/balance, or both?!?!
Probably.

Can't forget that Geddy Lee also played and owns quite a few Thunderbird basses...

I personally don't get the loosening of the strings when shipping. Necks were designed to have and hold that tension and instruments are moved untold times every day from gig to gig and that isn't done. Not exactly the same I know, but still getting jostled about.
I bought my VP from a GC store in Syracuse, so it travelled right across the continent you truck. It was fairly well packed in a cardboard box. They tuned it down 1/2 step. No problem!

No, I had some stuff on backorder from Sweetwater, for 6? 7? months, being held up at this point by one item, apparently :meh:
I switched out that one item for something else (the pf350) that was in stock, and suddenly it all got shipped :jawdrop: :bored:

So kind of a late xmas for me, I guess :D

And yes, the Peavey does sound awesome
But it sucks down a lot of juice - the maual says 800w :wideyed: compared to 100w for the pf350 & 63w for the Max 250 combo.......
SMUD will appreciate that.

That is awesome! She has a great voice and tone.
Butterfly Boucher is her name and she's an excellent musician all the way around. That band, Elle Macho, has 2 records from the early 2010s and that was it. Butterfly has a 3-4 solo records and has been a gun for hire with Sarah Maclachlan and Sara Bareilles, so she's keeping pretty great company. Her voice is pristine and her bass playing is just *insert stankface here*.

This band and her singing and playing ring all of my musical bells. Last time I was this excited about a band was with MUSE around 2003-4. Though Elle Macho doesn't appear to be playing much, if at all, and Butterfly's social media presence (and website) are a few years out of date.

All that to say, check out those videos of Elle Macho and Butterfly in the studio, as well as the grainy club clips of them on YouTube. She's great and her T-Bird sounds incredible and has me sold on one, whenever I can get one to try out.

no, we have committed to the firebird base club, and we are no longer allowed to even look at another base geetar.

I look at a lot of non-TBird type basses.
Even play one. Money providing, I’d have a crazy assortment.

Oh, I’d also would absolutely have to have an ThunderBird IV.

Something like this would suit me just fine.

I saw that bass on FaceBook and most of the comments were complaints about the photographer putting the bass on the bricks....

Here's a mostly standard Gibson here in Seattle.
