Mine has had that switch replaced with a volume pot, otherwise the wiring should be the same.

I'll have a look when I get home, or tomorrow, and see what's going on with mine, but I've not yet been able to find diagrams or pics to compare with an unmodified one.

Not an awesome pic, but the best I've got, atm.

Looks like standard parallel wiring to me, just on a single volume pot.
(red & black are the pickups, gray goes to output jack)

Apparently, my google-fu is weak, I've not been able to find any pics of the on/off switch only wiring that the Blackbirds originally came with :(

:laugh: Not for this 65+ crowd. "Mustang Sally"(a request, BTW)is about as rambunctious as they get.
They do like to line dance. An activity that looks-to me-too much like an exercise class. So, we did "Electric Slide" and(surprisingly-another request)"Last Night". They loved it; we've never played it b4. They never knew that.(We've all heard it. It was "what key?", "A.", "hit it.").

I bought a new Pontiac G8 GT in 2008 with a 6.0L, (it's kind of like a modern GTO) and that was the only thing they weren't offering at the time. I still have it but it needs a little work.... motor work..... inside motor work...... it may even need a motor :bawl:. Mine still looks as good as that but .........

Very challenging, very different, but great fun. We played for two hours, and a young lady danced for two half hour sets. I am hoping for a little advice. I am strongly considering recording our rehearsals, as the music is very different from anything I have ever played. Is anyone familiar with the hand held recorders? I have looked at products from Tascam and zoom. Any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have Dunlop strap locks on a few basses, and wish to install them on the new NR bird, and the Explorer. The screws are longer and thicker than the originals. Drilling a pilot hole, installing a bigger screw in the back of the heel pocket is concerning to me. I don't wish to damage my basses in any way. Any experience with these installations? Any cause for my concern? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I started playing bass when I was about 14 and only played in local town bands until I joined my first really good band in my early twenties with pro level players. I can still remember covering this tune in the cellar of the guitarist's house and closing my eyes and being exhilarated it sounded so good, "I've arrived" :laugh:, many things can conspire against that though and I seemed to find just about every one along the way. I still love that tune though, I like a lot of his solo stuff too.

We used to do this one too:

(Something tells me he lived the rock n roll life)

Ronnie Van Zant would be early 70s. But you'er right. I'm not sure you can line dance to that.
