That's why I asked, I wanted to contrast what I heard vs the practical real life experience of you guys. Not just on hearsay. I wanted the experience of people that owns T-birds. So I asked the question.

Here’s a pic of the Babicz I installed on my NR:

I have a Reverse Gibson TBird that came with this bridge. The NR came with the 3-point. Once you learn how to use it, the 3-point is a simple and effective bridge. I think it looks prettier, too.

I’m a bit of a tinker, so I wanted to get back to the adjustability of the Babicz. Like the smart folks mentioned, there are differences, but not necessarily advantages in making this change. Having both TBirds with the same bridge was something that appealed to me.

I can see where it would be nearly impossible to play Twister in that car.

What is phase 90?

It's a fantastic phaser pedal. The old one's anyway. Mine is a '81 I believe. The old ones sound fantastic. Most likely what you hear on records from the 70s and early 80s. I don't care of a chorus with bass (which is lost in a live setting), and the Phaser doesn't get lost and adds and nice liquid kind of thing. This one sounds great and I was sick when it quit working and everything I was trying didn't live up to what I was used to. Chuck was kind enough to bring it back to life for me.

My pedestrian taste in cars............

Ugly, slow, and less streamlined than a brick.

Slightly more streamlined - still slow, at least they can move gear and this one found it's way to California recently.

The car I like...................Big Rubber nosed Firebird.
This one belongs to my friend, Bill. It's completely restored, has it's own carpeted garage stall, it's a big, very sexy beast of a car.

Well, I can't talk about anyone else, but I like that Subaru wagon (the older one) which model and year is it? I'd like to look it up.

It's a 1999 Outback, a very good car once you replace the head gaskets. This one has 266K miles on it, other than normal stuff, brakes etc it's been a great car, really good for hauling gear, AWD is good for wet, hilly roads and snow.

I don't really feel a pressing need to have one that says "Gibson" on it, just for the sake of its having "Gibson" wrote on it







.......I would like to find a set of the Gibson Blackbird pickups though, some day.....

After playing a bunch with you all, I agree. As good as the Epi’s are.
I’d much rather have a Gibson.
Especially V’s 89.
