Looked it up. 1970. Went into the GTO and Screaming Eagle. Olds also had a version in the 442.
That's a '74 Firebird.

Interesting as the Pontiac Wiki said 1970 was the last year of that big block...but looked at other sources that say 1976.That's a '74 Firebird.
This is yet another reason I love this place. The braintrust of all things Thunderbird and great perspectives in health advice as well. You just can't get that breath of truthful information just anywhere! This is better than the things you read on the interwebs. Wait. Isn't this part of the interwebs?Well, your diet may cause that, I know what happens when I eat beets.
Otherwise, a cork and super glue to cure the runs.

The difference is that there were no Nigerian Princes at the GTG. At least none that admitted to such. This is yet another reason I love this place. And the mods go after my OT remarksIf you try the cork, just remember to use one made from a natural material![]()

Why clean and polish it? Isn't that his job to make it more presentable and appealing? You're kinda doing his job for him here...Friend called me, and offered this Squire Burgundy Mist; he knows I love the color, but this one is road worn, more than my personal taste allows; I'll probably just clean and polish it up and decline the offer.

Thunderbird members have a high rate of OCD.Why clean and polish it? Isn't that his job to make it more presentable and appealing? You're kinda doing his job for him here...

I hadn't picked it up in a couple months! Played it last week for an hour or so - Damn solid bass, I still have the stock strings on it, tuned to E flat, I love it. Kinda wish I'd bought a Red one too.
I’d take it, put new strings on it and keep it. I’ve always said I’ll not buy a J bass. But if someone wanted to give me one…Friend called me, and offered this Squire Burgundy Mist; he knows I love the color, but this one is road worn, more than my personal taste allows; I'll probably just clean and polish it up and decline the offer.

I find it a relaxing way to spend a rainy day. I’ve cleaned and set up several basses for free. I find it therapeutic.Yes his duty.
But in fact I love to do this kind of stuff; bring back shine and clean guitar and bass; I do only to closest friends, for free![]()
