Thunderbird Club

Not a reflection of NY by any stretch, just a rant about many rock concerts - I just don’t get the whole mosh pit thing.

What a freaking stupid bunch of testosterone fueled low IQ morons. When I was in my teens and early twenties I was pretty much an out of control fool and never backed down from a good fight, but even then I thought the mosh thing was stupid. Bands that encourage it and glorify it with air time on their videos (like this one) should be thrown in the middle of the mosh to see how well they fair.

Ok, rant over, I now return you to our regularly scheduled Tbird love fest and what looks like a pretty good deal…

one gig we played we used our own lights. A stand on each side of the stage with several on top. At one point the lights on my end started swaying. I backed up and got the singers attention to maybe do the same. Some guys started slam dancing and were slamming into the stand with lights. I could likely have moved fast enough, but the morons in the crowd would be literally hit by their own stupidity.

Almost tempting to get it for the pickups.

Ken, you should own a VP. I think SITs would sound great on it. If you don't like it, you can always sell it for more than you paid for it. But you'll like it.

Those pick ups don't look like any Greco ones i've ever seen.
TB+'s?

Those do look to be TB+ pickups, not the original Grecos.... makes it a just barely ok deal....

So Ernie Ball has officially pissed me off.

I bought a 12 pack treble geetar strings and 3 of the 12 high E strings broke during initial tuning.

Different tuner types, all breaks at the initial bend in the string. (split post, center post, and locking)

I emailed them, and instead of just saying " OMG, Thanks you for being a loyal customer for 25 years, let me drop 3 or 4 high E strings in the mail. So sorry for the inconvenience".

They wanted pictures of the broken strings, and some other stupid things. (threw the broken strings away)

I am not invading Poland with the free strings I am trying to scam from them....

I bought a bulk pack of SIT strings instead.

I buy a dozen sets of strings 3-4 times a year so I'm sure I'll bankrupt Ernie Ball in short order....
It is entirely possible that they are trying to track a defect and pictures of the broken strings could be useful in finding the defect/providing a solution. But I will concede that if that is the case, they should communicate that.

Almost.

Liver wrapped in bacon: doesn't help the liver :vomit:, pretty much ruins the bacon.
Disagree. I love liver* and having bacon with it?? Heaven!

* Be careful eating liver, it is so rich it can precipitate gout. All good things in moderation.
