Might be a little tough while diving. But would look cool. You could wear it while playing. yet I'm thinking you'd loose something of the Jacques look with a Thunderbird and not be underwater.Just missing the red hat.

That's actually not bad. Given some band names, it really good. Chemical Reaction might be a good one for him as well to tie in that chemist thing.Lawsuits and Watermelons - the title of your upcoming album![]()
I don't mind an old instrument looking it's age, but I don't get stuff like this.

For the most part I’m opposed to ruining a perfectly good instrument, but something about that one speaks to me…
of course I will keep it in mint condition….
a while back I traded a set of cheapo pickups for this tele body…. I brushed on a layer of two of shellac, and I’m positive I shellaced some dirt and insects into it…
Then I saw these matching Billy and Dusty geetars and I really liked them…. turns out they were pretty much just stickers made to look like a flood damaged geetar Billy saw somewhere on the interwebz…

Those inspired this…
going back even further, I was fortunate to get a few geetar lessons from Scott Henderson, and he had this beat to poopie strat that I loved…
so I made this from a $60 geetar, and for several years it was my only electric…
Ok maybe I like beat to poopie geetars more than I thought…
I’d be worried about getting splinters from that TeleFor the most part I’m opposed to ruining a perfectly good instrument, but something about that one speaks to me…

LOL - I hadn’t thought of that! Had this bird been a dog I’d have been in a real pickle. Kinda hard to return a gift without insulting the giver. Guess I dodged a bullet!
It does have me second guessing what to do with the BaCH. Keep it and mod it to sound as good as the 21 NR or off it and focus on getting the most out of the 21. Hmmmm.First world problems.
It's a custom build. That neck started out as a cheap Ibanez med scale with a headstock like this.

I cut the sides down square and glued up some maple to it and cut out the tbird shape. Also narrowed the whole neck from nut to heel and reshaped the profile. Finished product came out like this.
