Love that green sparkle!

210. I decided the 410 was too big.

I had an SWR Goliath 4x10 that I bought new in the later '90s. (pre-Fender acquiring them) It was a good sounding cab, but it was a heavy awkward cube. I never took full advantage of its potential so I sold it. Just not in a band that needs that level of 'presence'. I have an Eden 2x10 which is our rehearsal space keys cab so it doesn't travel but it is easier to transport and sounds plenty good.

FenderBird Friday at casa da Mike's.

Pieces for the 2nd Fenderbird got in this week, darkened the fingerboard, changed the bridge (Bass Xtender coming in next week) and now ready to bring this to the luthier for a refinn, still thinking of going white and keeping the black PG. Tone cap change also in the plan.

yes, but a Fender Deluxe reverb for example will not put up with that…depends on the amp and vintage….point being. it’s not a universal “can do”..

I didn't realize that, I've usually done it with either a Bass or a Marshall Major. With Ampegs I just ran the preamp out to the power amp in on the other one which worked great, just use the conrols on the first one and they both had the same tone.

Do I need more basses? Nooo!!
But can´t say no to these Squier Jazz on Black Friday preview sales: Burgundy with black pickguard, and Ocean Blue Metallic.
A friend of mine brought over a new Squier Jazz that’s dark red with block inlays, gold hardware and a gold anodized pickguard. I can’t remember the model name, but it’s a very nice bass for the money.

So I don't smoke anything while running 2 amps and 2 cabs, here is a diagram of what I think I heard. Save for Chuck mentioning effects loop out on the MM, which I don't seem to have on the Sixty Five. Do I have this right?

Only other question is there is a toggle on the ground for the MM that is just either in the left or right position. Anyone have any idea what that does? It is currently toggled to the right when looking at the back of the amp.

Hey Thunderbird Club!

I have a 2004 Gibson Thunderbird in need of a new wiring harness. Can anyone recommend an awesome quality option in the states? Something like this maybe?
(Gibson) Thunderbird Bass Wiring Harness, Treble Bleed, No Load Tone, 50’s or Modern Wiring | Reverb

please and thank you!
Why does it need a new harness? If you have soldering skills, you can probably fix just about any issue it has, and you can also do upgrades, change parts, etc. Most of us would make our own and make whatever modifications it seems like it needs that way. You will need to solder to connect the pickups anyway.

As far as the harness in the photo in that listing, it's not for a Gibson. You need a different jack because the output is on the side of the body. They mention that in the description. Beyond that, it's just whatever you want and need.

I’m replacing the pickups because they were faulty and the input jack is junk so I though I might as well upgrade the rest of the harness. I know about the side jack and I can solder but I’m having a luthier give it an install and setup anyway.

Looking for domestic options for pre built harnesses with great parts and caps for a T bird. Can anyone share their experience?

I have the Burgundy one, I like it - much better than I expected to

Maybe it's for a similar function as the 3-way power switch on my Peavey?

Technically, it should work as-is with Thunderbirds that have the front jack, but not more modern ones (like his '04) that have the side jack.

Like you said though...since the pickups, bridge ground - and in the case of the one posted, the new output jack as well - need to be soldered, might as well just go ahead and do the rest yourself.....

imo :)
