Thunderbird Club

I also have an early dot and bound '66J, still haven’t bonded with it after 38 years.

Which supports the fact that any bass regardless of brand/lineage or vintage can be bonded to ...or not. I'm "Bonded" to mine with Bond Girl. :) :bassist:

That first one (with the feather) the ThunderJazz looking thing - tell me more about it. Looks like it would sound awesome!

And that last one - is that a Fender Modern Player Tele? I absolutely love mine, best sounding Fender I own. They only made them for a year or two, getting very hard to find. My next Tbird build will be a complete modern player - neck, pickups, and hardware dropped onto a Reverse Tbird body using the Modern player pup locations as well.

Pickups and jack but I thought what the heck, I may ‘upgrade’ everything. Anyway my luthier recommended to go with Puretone jacks instead of Switchcraft. I had not heard of them before.
Going with Lollars for the pickups.
Lollars are great. That will be a thunderous bass guitar when the work is done. Sounds like the luthier may just build the harness.

I put Rip Tides (chrome) in my '89 Ibanez (black 5-string on left):

Wired with EMG's BTS system - really love that setup :)

I've been using puretone jacks (panel & barrel) lately, good quality, I like them so far

I wasn't sure what to expect from the RipTides.
But they have a certain tone i love that i've never heard from any J pick up before.
