Chucky - hats off to you! If I opened that amp up and saw that rats nest of bare wires laying over bare wires I’d have an OCD heart attack!

Probably all in a days work for you, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many bare wires laying that close to that many other bare wires. Just look at that silver can cap and resistor…

…one little bump or a bit of poking or prodding could easily bring the leads in contact.

On the bright side, the pic sure would make a cool jigsaw puzzle for a tech head!:D

@Chucky Stiletti is da man!

Maybe even a better puzzle after the fire!

Calls for the skill and nerves of a bomb tech!

thx G! was just trying to illustrate how “messy” the transitional period between tube and solid state construction methods was….this is all point to point wired transistor tech! plain crazy….can only imagine the drafters creating the drawings (by hand of course) for the assemblers….a computer can easily lay out a PCB today but that? highly doubt it……never ceases to amaze me what humans are capable of….

It's been a long time (3 years) since I've had a show to play, all that changed today!
The Nasty Habits will play two nights at The Metta Room in Pt Angeles, WA 5/19, 5/20 - We have some work to do and a goal, yay!

From a deposition transcript:

Q: Do you have any medical or neurological conditions?
A: I have dyslexia.
Q: Do you have corrective lenses for that?
A: ....?

Actually, not such a bad question.

Depending on the cause of the dyslexia glasses with coloured lenses can be helpful. One of my daughters school mates had them. Helped her a lot, she has just been accepted as a solicitor (lawyer). (Edit: though she was here on the weekend and I noticed she was no longer wearing them.)

It is controversial though and generally not an accepted practice.

I have a blister on my right middle finger. I haven't been playing the upright much lately, but I got called to be a fill in on that bass last night. So, I played it for three hours, unplugged, which sure was fun. Thing about the upright is that it is hard to hear when you are playing it. They can hear you down the hall, but you don't know exactly what they are hearing, and intonation is a pretty big deal. Apparently it wasn't too embarrassing. Maybe everyone there was tone deaf or really nice. But it sure was fun. Both of my forearms are a little tired this morning from it, too, but it feels really good. It's a nice surprise to find out I can actually do that on the fly like I did.
Right on Will - That’s awesome!

Stupid. Really? And how is that relevant? Unless it’s a plaintiff depo who put neurological issues at issue. If you were the witness, I’m surprised your attorney didn’t object on privacy grounds and instruct you not to answer. No way I would ever let one of my experts or defense clients answer that question.
