Move a little bit closer. How about we do the build at Chucky's in Hollister and then use the AMX to haul it above the speed limit? Think we could weld up a receiver without him noticing? That means you’ll help then?
Prayers George. Will do, but it will most likely be later today (at the hospital with the wife since Friday, hopefully she’ll be released this afternoon).
Very cool. The wife and I are both engineers and would have likely ended up taking a similar path. When you get some time PM me the link for your plans on eBay. We’ve been kicking around the idea of a teardrop build for some time now.
Chipotle is an excellent alternative prep. Disclaimer: I only play a doctor on TV.I've found that once you start the prep medicine it's best to be wearing your PJ's and just stay seated in the bathroom - you won't feel safe about leaving for several hours anyway - A good book is helpful to pass the time.![]()
I love Baltic Birch. No voids and the color with just a light Deft sealer is like honey. Loved it so much, I built a camper out of it.

Sounds like a good way to break a headstock off.....Or just take a bass in there with wireless and camp out.
Praying for both of you. Will do, but it will most likely be later today (at the hospital with the wife since Friday, hopefully she’ll be released this afternoon).
I found the best way to do those cutouts is to create a template from the pickup ring using a guide bit in a router and then use that template to route the pickguard.Monday morning pickgard follies.....
This is from my BaCH, the previous owner didn't do a smart job of trimming around the opening for the pickup....
I'd like to clean it up but as you can see, using an extra pickup bezel as a guide shows it's going to be dodgy at best.
Thoughts?

I guess I won’t be complaining about the cost of electric bass strings anymore. My daughter just bought a set of these solo strings for double bass. They are meant to be tuned up a whole step for solo repertoire.

You've probably seen this before, Johnny Paycheck with a Teisco Del Ray bass.
When no one expects a Thunderbird.
