Thunderbird Club

She is beautiful.

Yes, she is. Beth and I got her during high-Covid. We were so lucky as she's both of our 1st dog - and she's a gem. I don't know what life would be w/o her.

The day we met/adopted her at the Monterey SPCA in May 2019 as a 6yr old. She was like.., what's going on?

Pretty cool! Looks like a lot of fun.

Our place in the mountains reportedly has five feet around it. ScCal Edison texts us every time the power goes out and when they get it back up. Four times now since midnight. The County set up a warming center in the clubhouse, but people higher up like we are (6000 feet) can’t get out of their driveways without hours of shoveling snow. And the roads are terrible, even with chains. I’m glad I had the good sense to stay home in the flatlands the last several days.

I love the looks of snow. But that's about it. It is generally really pretty, it's the dealing with it and the cold I don't care for. Around here when everything "dies" for Winter it's nice to get a break from looking at trees with no leaves and mostly brown grass. I'm sure its nothing short of stunning where @PhR75 lives, but it still wouldn't be for me.

She looks a little scared in the pic, but in those you post now, she looks very happy and content. Which is wonderful!

I moved to Chicago in August of '78. That winter had record snow fall. I loved the quietude that resulted. Crisp, cold air and muffled sound. Of course the aftermath always presented problems - but the morning after a big snow-storm like that was magical.

As 1966 is a favorite year of mine for many reasons - I can't say enough about that iconic restored beauty. Do you know what Pontiac colour that is? It looks like Fenders "Shoreline Gold".

IIRC it's Champagne Gold, but don't quote me on it, this one's a bit understated with it's factory wheels etc., but the metal work is fantastic. The fit of the fenders, hood etc. is way better than factory, this car took a Concourse Gold in the GTO Nationals.

Have mercy Miss Percy!

We used to make such beautiful cars.

GORGEOUS…..:drool::drool:
please tell me it’s the six pack equipped 389…..:hyper::drool:

It is a 389 Tri power, come up for a visit and we'll go see it.

Got to visit Bill's '66 this morning.....
The metal and paint on this car are beyond belief, perfect.

Pontiac used the Shoreline Gold colour name, the same colour in Olds was called Golden Mist.

Yes, both video and audio.

I agree, the 115 sounds better. Not the the 410s sound bad, just not as full.

I didn't actually say the 115 sounds better to me but I could see myself having two of those cabs instead of two 410s. With distortion it was smoother and more pleasant if one can use those attributes with distortion. :D

I tried them with both amps on too. The overdriven amp goes to the 15", clean to the 410.

Beautiful!

A little bit of forensics on the hipshot tuners
The threads lack the depth to hold under tension. They look like a failure waiting to happen. In my opinion.
Never had this issue with steel.
The NR tuners are non magnetic so I’m pretty sure they are aluminum.

They should be aluminum or some alloy to be lightweight. I've never had that issue with hipshot ultralights. I'll check the ones in my parts drawer later.
