Been noticing my amps in the music room build up a little static shock. I thought it was just the Ashdown, but my Ampeg does it was well (which I never noticed--likely because I never touch it after turning it on). I can pull can change the wall plug, but will that change anything? I'll have to take the Ashdown up stairs again, but I don't think I ever noticed it there.

BTY- still really loving my Ashdown. Makes me sound more like Chuck playing.*

*Ever so slight exaggeration there. In my dreams that would be true!

Guessing that there may be a faulty ground in that receptacle. Either in the item itself, or somewhere along the ground conductor.

misleading….the person carries the charge, not the amp…..if the amp was not grounded (which it should be) there would be no ZAP…
