Fresh eggs with the right feed will ruin you from ever wanting another store egg again. Not even all "country" eggs are the same by any means. Some are loaded with taste and others are not much different than those from the store. We used to get get them from my in-laws (before they passed), friend and hers were the best I ever tasted. My farmer FIL always said what they were fed really makes a difference. I'm sure that's only one important part of the eggology equation. All that to say, a really good egg is something most have never had, and when they do, they are ruined.

Another reason to come to the GTG. If I have some, I'll bring them in August. @Chucky Stiletti got a dozen with those homebrews

Thanks for the offer. Roughly 2,300 miles for eggs and even beer is a stretch for me even in less wiser days, maybe. I could possibly envision going that far for good beer years ago.

Yeah, I saw them about 20 years ago but I would have loved to have seen them with Duane and Berry and I found out years later that they used to play Boston Common quite a bit before they were real well known.

I saw them in 74 but thanks to the haze, recall maybe three seconds of Midnight Rider. Always bummed I never saw the original lineup.

The Animals did a reunion tour in 1977, all original members and I LOVED The Animals. A buddy and I were looking forward to it for a month talking in the bar about it on and on. The night came, we went, they had a bar in this place (theatre) and we were pretty well lubricated when we got there. I remember the bar more than the band in fact all I remember is one blip of "Bright It On Home". The concert ended the and 'haze' ended and my buddy was nowhere to be seen so I started looking around for him, I finally found him passed out in one of the seats, I woke him up and said "Timmy, let's split" He looked up and started cursing: "What the ****!!??" He thought the concert hadn't started yet.

I saw Eric Burdon perform on Maui in the 90's. Excellent show but still not War or The Animals

I have that LP. I have a couple post Animals LP's by Alan Price also.
