Cool idea. Myself, I don't do well with foot operated stuff, but it's a cool idea.

You could always have two sliders... volume and pan.

A pan pot is two stacked pots, one of them is lefthanded.

Had a killer gig last night, used the 2015 vintage sunburst epi IV the whole set, goth just hung on the stand. I hope some videos surface, I saw one, but it wasn't a song I was jumping around on as much. The t bird is light enough for some good pogo action.

Had some people jump on stage and even a stage diver. The crowd was rowdy and loud. I will post something if I find anything. We forgot to announce about sharing the pics and video with us as usual. Tons of phones up as usual.

We get to do it again next week, short notice, midnight headline spot at a bierhaus in Pasadena, not sure if the crowd will be like that though, this particular venue (popoff's Slidebar, Fullerton) is our best one, went off both times. But since we are doing system of a down, and pasadena is closer to Glendale and little Armenia, we should get some rowdy system fans.

Thanks. Yeah, I understand that pan/blend pots are stacked or 'ganged'.

Okay, those StewMac pots are linear (stands to reason). Assuming the output from both pickups is the same, the output will be consistent, ie 100/0, 75/25, 50/50, 25/75, 0/100 which would equate to a 3dB difference in the theoretical ouput volume compared to V/V wiring with both pups maxxxxed. Not a lot in it then.

Went to the hardware store today and bought 2lbs of paraffin wax, pulled out the pickup and gave it a dunk. Whole process took maybe two hours and a pound of wax. Soldered it back together and I am now able to push the amp up to 8 with the treble dimed and not get a squeal. So success! I may look into the Thunderbucker '63 at some point, but it's good to go in the short term!

I hope a video surfaces of the stage diver (not common in that venue, too small, stage too low, no barricade), or at least one of the songs where I had the pogo and shavo moves going on. Chop suey has all those hammer parts that it is hard to jump around on, and the other parts are breakdowns, so headbanging and jumping don't feel right. Sugar, toxicity, psycho etc... Much better for pogo. Someone somewhere has it on a phone... Or posted somewhere we don't know about yet. Wish we had someone shooting from the back the whole time, it was an epic 50 minutes.

Ken, even with just the string removed it should move freely, however the shaft may be a tight fit. Taking it out should allow you to check all possibilities.
Glad to hear you're playing in a band again too!

Hey all. I'm awaiting delivery of a new Epi Alpine White Classic Pro. Should be arriving today or tomorrow. My question is about bridges. Any feelings on the Hipshot replacement versus the Babicz replacement? I'm going to try leaving the stock bridge on but have a feeling I'll be frustrated with the non-individual saddle adjustments. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Congrats on the new bass, Alpine is beautiful and classy on Tbirds! I owned the Hipshot before the Babicz was on the market so I don't have any experience with the Babicz but as with pretty much all Hipshot products, it's a great bridge.
