That's one way to look at it...
Scott has resurrected far worse. It mostly needs a lower wing unless I didn't look at it carefully enough. I don't know how hard that would be overall. I don't have the skill to do it at this point. I might have 35 years ago when I was building furniture out of mahogany, but not now. So I'm not the person to do it. Also, once it's done, there would be no reason to keep the finish clear. May as well paint it a period correct custom color since the repaired wing or wings wouldn't have darkened like mahogany does, at least not for a long time.

[edit] I looked at it again. Both wings have to be replaced.

That's how I look at it. Whenever I fall off, there's something to learn about missteps and missed cues leading up to the get-off. The police may say it is entirely somebody else's fault, but most of the time, there's something I did or didn't do that contributed in some way. Being paranoid on the motorcycle isn't a bad thing.

A record lap around the Isle of Mann is basically taunting fate -

isle of man - motorcycle record lap

I'd probably go pelham blue, age it just enough to be "correct".

My comment "That's one way to look at it..." was related to Texas, not the butchered T-bird... :) Considering the butchered bird (a T-day reference) I also could correctly make it look 'new' again, but I'd never get my money back.
