The reverse should be 10 13/16” from the middle of the lower 12th fret to the mid line of the neck pickup.

That measurement on my BaCH NR II is 10 5/8ths. So 3/16ths closer to the fretboard.

I had been assuming the placement of the p'ups on my Greco IV was the same as the "60's" Reverse basses, and the neck unit is definitely further from the 12th fret on that bass - but just by eye it can see it's more than ¼ of an inch. I had anticipated the Reverse (but not the Non-Reverse) IIs single p'ups were nearer the bridge because of my Greco.

Great for getting the leaves offa the decorative gravel and out to where you can rake them.

BTW, my leaf blower is electric. Notalot louder than a vacuum cleaner.

I’m SoCal and went to a show at least once a month pre Covid. Never heard of it.

Really I'm probably being too generous in calling it a "venue". It was more an old commercial space (store or something) downtown, that had been let get to a pretty miserable state, more akin to a drug-addled flophouse than anywhere that live music should be getting performed. It was supposed to be held at a much nicer, proper venue, but something there fell thru and we ended up at Mentalize, as we were told it "is an up and coming spot!" It was not. It was a shithole off a piss-soaked alley in a rough part of town run and owned by some pretty bad degens. People living in the basement in sleeping bags, someone found needles up in the projection booth. I was happy to get out of there without any major incidents or tweaker freakouts.

Just need a very long extension cord... it's the gas-powered ones that are obnoxiously loud, like a chain-saw or two-stoke motorcycle engine.

Hmm. Never thought o' that.

Yep, works great. Been doing that forever. Get good battery powered blower and you don't have to fool with something else (cord) to get out and put up. Great the all those places that hold water and drip for ever. Great fro "dusting" a piano as well. You wouldn't believe all the crap that can be hidden between the keys and everything else. Also great for cooling off the tubes when you turn off a tube amp.


OK, that last part doesn't happen.

Amen. Nature giveth, and I giveth it back here as well. We have dry branch that almost circles the property. It's kind of like a leaf toilet.

I checked mine for Dave as well....

'64 II is 10 13/16"
'89 IV is 10 3/16"
BaCH NR II is 10 9/16"
'77 Greco II is 10 15/16"

Nothing particularly interesting. Drank some, noted how it evaporated in my mouth, it tasted like something poisonous and I got sick.

If it had a grape-ish taste, it might have been Mogan David, which is poisonous. The only thing that ever caused me to vomit.

I'll likely be shunned after mentioning Seagram's and Mogan David in the same day.

Just got back from playing Ozzy and Sabbath with some guys forming a tribute band. The guitarist is really accomplished. He was nailing the Randy Rhodes and Tony Iomi solos! I brought my Jazz Bass Special with old 50-110 rotosound RS66. Brought my D800+ and plugged into an Ampeg 410. Sure was bass heavy, so I dialed up the high mids and treble a bit. What a blast

Some of the Ampeg 410s can be down right boomy. My Heritage is the only 410 of their's I like.

Turkey conclave

Had a small buck get tired of a turkey that was getting too close and showed him some horns this afternoon. I'm not sure why he was bothered by the turkey. Frustrated in finding love maybe.
