…I’ll leave that answer to @JIO . I don’t know that I have met this sound “girl” yet… The issue is that she wants to be referred to in a specific way, and I’ve been warned.

Sound person, which normally would be a 'correct' way of addressing the person operating the stage sound is not acceptable in this case. Welcome to SF in 2024.

Or August at the Dead Sea at 48C. But you float :wideyed:

Yep, in Jan 2020 during the last really bad bush fire season, Penrith had a day at (offical temp) 48.9c (120f). Penrith is an outer western suburb of Sydney, not a desert or in the outback.

Unofficial temp readings in surrounding suburbs (and on car readouts) were showing 50c and above, one place 52.1C. Which is getting ridiculous really.

Just at the start off this summer they’ve opened a “Penrith Beach” at an old quarry. They put down sand for the same length as Bondi Beach. Colloquially known now as “Pondi”. I think from “Penrith’s Bondi”. :)

Yeah. Who’s to say anymore. It’s a world with people asking mid five figures for sixties birds and 6K or more for bicentennials. Way too rich for my blood. I’m glad I have what I have and if I don’t get another one, that’s ok.

My criteria thus far, for any electric bass north of four grand is neck thru design, five strings and having an unlined Fretless fingerboard-

With that said, I can’t say I would never deviate from that and certainly wouldn’t judge others who have-

Anybody know what's the deal with the LBO? Ya know that other place where people talk about T birds and Gibsons and Rics and a lot of general silliness. Hope it wasn't a ransomware attack.

Yeah, wondering the same thing, noticed the issue yesterday. Hopefully it's resolved soon!

Seems to be working now.

I was just out to Columbus and Dayton in December for a funeral. It was kinda sad to see many of the old farms leveled and generic houses or industrial/retail centers built up. It is a huge difference from when I lived in Ohio back in 1999. Developers are trying in my area; luckily, the forest is protected, and density levels are limited, so we may hold out for a while yet.

Was it an earlier incarnation of that which was behind The Pretenders’ 80’s ‘Way to Go Ohio’ song?

My daughter brought home a different kind of bass instrument today. An English Euphonium:
