It is a concern! Back in '88 we were playing a gig, break between 2nd and 3rd set, our guitarist (who always had a bit of an attitude) hits the restroom to get rid of some beer only on the zip up he catches skin and he caught it GOOD!Could not get it un-caught! I $hit you not, he played the 3rd set with his zipper down and his junk a captive! Played the entire set like a statue with his guitar in front of the affected area and white as a ghost! The drummer and I lauged the whole set! This was a karma thing to us!

Usually it's - "the red bass" or, "the white bass" or, "the black or brown or gold bass"... although my bandmates really liked when I brought the T-bird (the way it sounded in the mix) which isn't any of those colours. (well, it's sorta in the brown camp) I think it was referred to as, "that other bass".
Yeah. It was kind of small, tight. Darkly lit. It kind of had a art gallery vibe.
My curse, and a blessing, I grew up here.
And after living in L.A. And Portland, I'm back in Queens.
There's a good reason for it though.

Q on the kill switch - how do you ensure it doesn't send a 'pop' through to the amp ?
When I turn it off? Honestly I never considered it but non of my basses make a sound when I flip the switch and I'm running a LOUD GK 2001 into 2 8x10s. I always test at home first. For example, this one I reversed a wire somewhere cuz I get sound if I tap on the switch. It's only 3 wires.
When I took my BaCH Bird in for repair i saw your old Spector hanging on the wall.
I too was 14 in 80. In high school I listened to a lot of ACDC, Judas Priest, Motley Crue, Van Halen, etc. Now I go back and listen to that other music that was around at the time (you know, the music that SUCKED). What I find now is that much of it is really good. I just spent the evening listening to Duran Duran. John Taylor is a great bass player.
Fantastic player. My main band then, and now, is Thin Lizzy but I always had an ear for different stuff. I could listen to Sabbath, Dio era only, and then put on a Ultravox disc and follow that up with Marillion and then Sweet. Country is the only genre I didn't like then and don't like now.
