Thunderbird Club

My Hamer Blitz (Explorer body) balances great and is actually quite comfortable to play standing up. Never saw one of the newer Gibson Explorers in person but would like to.
I had one. Bought it new in '85 or '86. Never should of got rid of it. Like you said, very balanced and comfortable, and I remember a nice slim neck. I had the metallic red.

:roflmao:
It would be awful if two turned up wearing the same outfit!

My wife lets me borrow my sweatshirts back from her every now and again. Does that count? (probably a question for Kat more than anybody else, assuming she does the same with him inside.)

Nah not really.

In the spirit of giving away far too much personal info on t'interwebz, we are in a 2BR apartment. One is the bedroom/his wardrobe/cat eyrie and the second is the library/music room/his shoeroom/alternate cat eyrie. As I have mentioned previously, he's (still) a Mod and pretty much thinks about nothing but clothes and shoes. I don't go near them as he's like the dragon Smaug - he'll know if someone touched them. He may be a little obsessed with them, but they are very nice and he's always sharply dressed. When not at work I wear dresses/skirts, as I enjoy the sense of freedom.

The kitty is a nice touch there, love it!

Decided that photo was a little ropey and removed it. Might put up a better lit one later.

Cat photos? Got them

Mine is the typical 80's Ferrari red finish. Mine is an 1982 model and the neck is very comfortable.

Not one stone is misplaced! Dang, I have a long way to go with my yard :roflmao:

Early 90s Orville by Gibson bird. As a fender fanboy this is my first 'bird. Bought here on TB(thanks,Brett). Haven't tried it yet but super stoked. Obligatory crappy iPhone pic:

I see you picked it up Paul, congratulations!
Shall I add you to the club?

If I were a teen-ager again, knowing what I know but being young and energetic, I would be thoroughly dangerous. And probably short-lived, but that's not much different from the first time around. I'm living proof there's a God who likes the entertainment, and therefore looks after idiots. That said, I'm a pathological optimist. In spite of everything, I think the world is a better and better place. It may not seem that way, but I really believe kids now are going to live in a better world, for them, than we did, for us. It will be different from what we would want, perhaps, but it will be their world, not ours. I'm OK with that, because we made the world in our image, and now their turn is coming. I hope to live long enough to see what they do.

Time will tell. Most "...if I were a teen again" longings seem to continue with "knowing what I know now" ... which is like having your cake and eating it too. (as in, wishful thinking at best) As a realist, I wish the youth of today the best of luck with the mess we and our ancestors have left them.

Have they graced the pages here yet? >
