Well, you certainly are right about English being stew of languages. All languages have what are called loan words, but English has to have as high percentage as any language.

I will take your recommendation under advisement.

Much as I love to sing, I'm not really very good at it, though I do practice at home a bit while playing. There are a lot of songs that I just can't seem to do both with though, especially if the bass parts require some concentration. Then I feel like I can't walk and chew gum at the same time.......
Still, I love being able to actually contribute some vocal bits to a song, strange really as I'm mostly a quiet, kind of shy person.

For my self they would be a 1970 Dodge Hemi-Challenger R/T with four on the floor and a 1989 Lotus Esprit Turbo (black with charcoal grey interior).

My Dad’s was a deep burgundy.

Which may have been a reason he replaced Martin Turner in Wishbone Ash. Martin was pretty popular.

And the 'Ash didn't let him sing lead except on one song he wrote so he was gone after making the album "Number The Brave".
Martin Turner wasn't the best singer in the world but he has that something. Especially when compared to Andy Powell and Laurie Wisefield so not to let a singer like Wetton to sing lead is plain stupid.
On the other hand the material they wrote wasn't that great either and I'm afraid to say the Wetton penned track is pretty crappy too.

Didn’t they badge the ‘67 SS? That one is stealthy! I had a green metallic Base Coupe 327 ans an teena and proceeded to tear it up. It was fun to drive and you could easily light up the tires.

I had a green metallic ‘67 Camaro hardtop back then and tore it up. It was just a car. Dang dumb teen!

Brilliant car. At the time, it was conceived as a nod the the Chevy Nomad. Killed by US bumper regs as the US was their biggest market. As it was, too few were built. Volvo made a ton of dough with the boxy 140/240 series, but didn’t want to spend the money for a redesign.

Ford had a similar theme in the works based on the ‘70 Mustang. Coulda, woulda, shoulda. Instead they gave us Pinto wagon. One of the worst cars ever made.

Dodge tried to do a similar sport wagon with the Magnum. Nice car that looked cool. Unfortunately, no one wanted one.

In a way, my little Subie Crosstrek is similar. It’s no where near as beautiful, but carries on the spirit. A practical, right sized little wagon.

Lancia HPE (High Performance Estate) was a successor to the Volvo’s theme.
