Played this through the Bugera at rehearsal last night, it really does sound fantastic - I don't think we managed to run that amp for the GTG, shame.

Didn’t the JC go through that when it was connected to two amps?

I played one at Chicago Music Exchange briefly years ago, along with a few other cool vintage basses, the most memorable being a '63 Jazz. (only $20k 10 yrs ago...) They didn't have a vintage T-bird there at the time.

45mm and yes. I have an Epiphone LP Junior Spirit made in Kalamazoo and it's the same size.

I wonder if Epiphone necks are interchangeable like most Fender necks are? Cuz if they were...an all-Epi GraBird would be possible.

I would be happy with one of those, provided it didn't need to run reliably. Red would do, but yellow would be even better. I don't remember how long ago it was, but one of those popped up for sale for a pretty reasonable price. I didn't buy it because I didn't have the reasonable price worth of cash at the time, and buying one of those with a loan is a really dumb idea. At the time, I thought it would be the closest I ever could get to owning a Ferrari. That is still true even though they are now stupid expensive like pretty much every other car from that era that has even a hint of exotic-ness to it.

Continuing to breathe at 87 is a pretty good start. My mother is 88 and her brother is 95. Aside from that, none of my relatives made it to that age.

The Ripper is set neck. The Grabber is bolt on.

I just dig that amp when it's cranked up just a little, it's slightly mid forward and the bass is underlying, the '64 II sounded really good through it last night - I may finally use that amp for a show!
