While in Germany, a must do for you considering your justice system background, is the Criminal Justice (medieval torture) Museum in Rothenburg (ob der Tauber). Really interesting to see how the criminal and court systems worked in Europe a little over 600 years ago. Actually the entire city is quite appealing, lots of unique history there, fairly well preserved and reconstructed after WWII. About a 3 hr train ride from Munich IIRC. Perfect for a long day visit or a weekend getaway.

I suspect the recidivism rate was pretty low, for several reasons. (1. Can't do that again, 2. Would never, ever want to do that again).

That sounds like a blessing from my POV. USPS have not been good at handling my large packages. They've screwed me up so many times that I don't even like to receive bass packages through them. lol YMMV

I shipped a G&L to AZ Nov 25 and it should have been there by now. I have followed up with the USPS but haven't heard back yet. First time I've had a snag in shipping with them. I was once told that odd shaped packages are often held to better fit later truck at times. I'm hoping that's the case here. I'm not out anything but the crazy cost to ship, but feel back for the buyer if something happens. We were both thinking that sucker to too big to misplace. But of late we've had delays in things getting here as well. Around here UPS is outstanding, USPS is reliable and FedMess is simply taking a chance it will get there.

I've not had any issues w/USPS but I generally ship basses UPS. FedEx yes...
