Yes, I didn’t say USA.
I've got a White LE Thunderbird that I really love to pay, even though I have several higher end basses. I'd like to upgrade the tuners on this bird, does anyone know of drop in replacements for these? I really don't want to have to rout the holes but I will if there's no other option. Thanks

if you're implying similarities, there are many....one major difference is cost of living.....
Only that when I looked at the map it had (Baha) California written all across it.
I know nothing of any other similarities other than I guess it was all the same territory a few hundred years ago. Even that I’d be guessing at.
Runnin Down A Dream is just fast. Not that hard. Practice I guess.
But L.A woman is fast for some good stretches and gets pretty hard. Haven’t tried it in a long time. This guy has a couple suggestions.

I’d call Hipshot and see what they are currently offering. I think they streamlined their catalog a year or two ago.

A.) I've seen a thread last posted about a month ago that suggests 3/8" Hipshot HB6C work with the new non-reverse 'birds so I'm assuming 3/8 is the magic number for all modern Gibson Thunderbirds (can someone confirm this?). Here's the thread:

and I know I'll want to change out black for chrome hardware on my '11 Heritage Cherry 'Bird. I'm...I have five LE CS Epis. Haven’t had to change any of the tuners. But they aren’t exactly top quality and a couple of the tuners could stand replacing when I can get around to it someday.
I showed the pic to Sandra and I think she want's to move in with y'all to babysit the dog.
Thank heavens the bridge height screws are aligned properly.

I have a number of Gibson ‘birds, all but one have been switched to Hipshot USA ultra lights. With the ones previous to about 2000, the set screw on the original tuners was offset, so I drilled the original screw hole and put a small 1/8” dowel and a dab of black paint (luckily my ‘97 and ‘99 are both black).
The one Epiphone I have had Wilkinson tuners, and I switched them out to Hipshot's with a matching extender. These are the HB1’s and a BT1. These were not an exact match up, but really close. I drilled and filled the original four screw holes, and the tuner plate just covers the old holes.
I do not know if these will fit on an Epiphone CS/LE. My Epiphone is a VP from 2017 made in Indonesia with (I believe) the smaller Wilkinson tuners that came on earlier models.
The Greco I have, I used HB10’s and a BT10, which are a direct replacement for Gotoh tuners that came on Japanese basses. These also fit my Fender Japan medium scale basses.

I use a pick on Runnin down a Dream. Last time we played Proud Mary (the fast Tina Turner version), I started with fingers, but had to grab a pick.
Seems high. For that $ it would have to be in excellent condition with all original parts.
Personally, I think the Hipshot looks awful on an old EB.1970 ish? it was 1800.00 shipped no Hipshot needed.
