Thanks, this is the first of two, the other is 32" scale, I haven't decided on the body style for it. I think a 12er definitely benefits from a through neck. This one is a three piece maple, dual trussrod, Macassar ebony fretboard built to Hamer nut and heel specs...only Hamer never built a through neck bass to my knowledge.
There's more work in a through neck, especially this one with a book matched cap and the contouring. But there's more perceived value and it's nice to fill a niche that IMO no one else is.
Here's the Res-O-Lite and Stealth tuners I'm using. Expensive but they save more than a half a pound over the usual Gotohs. Retail is about half the street price of an Epi Classic Pro.
