My NRBird has more 'conventional' ergonomics for sure but I find both shapes to be comfortable. IIRC, we are the same height -- 165-ish?

Anyone here live near Savannah IL? My band is playing at Poopies (yeah, yeah I know) so if anyone comes out maybe I'll bring ya up with us for a song and have a drink (or many) w/us.
I'm a Russian Polish Jew playing a bird weilding Armenian on stage.Mixed with German, Armenian and Italian.
I have generally adopted similar rituals to try to lengthen string life. Dish soap and rubbing alcohol on the hands, and a pinch wipe with alcohol on the strings after playing.It's gotta be the Italian in you!

I've never had strings die on me like that, but I usually wash my hands with dish soap before I pickup a bass.
Since discovering the denatured alcohol string soaking technique, I have been known to be a little more lax about the cleaning each time, since I can just soak em if I clog em.
Saves a lot of money on strings, which was also helped by my reluctance to throw away old dead strings. So some of my strings are 20 years old, and many I don't know for sure what they are because I would put the old sets in the packaging for whatever new set I just put on.
Of course having (currently and in the past) a few 2+2 and a 3+1 in the mix, limits which strings can go where unfortunately. But one thing I like about the 3 point is that the strings pop off and I can keep the coils intact unlike my fenders peaveys and similar basses that need the coils straightened somewhat to get them through the bridge.
Putting cleaned strings on the birds is a snap, almost like changing strings on a steinberger (which unfortunately got stolen along with my 2013 SG bass)
Speaking of the Armenian (Shavarsh Odajian), he has been seen playing Warwick streamers instead of birds recently. I know there was going to be a Shavo bird, and his silver ones seen on the 2015 tours and probably for a few years before that were custom made for him, but the signature model never became available to the public.
Do you think he will resume birds if/when Gibson resumes bass production? Or did Henry J cause that ship to sail to Hans Peter Wilfer instead?
Now I won't be making enough in the near future to add a streamer stage I/II, LX, standard slab or rockbass to the arsenal (and not a fan of rockbass or the old slab streamer stds), but I could see myself using my red Warwick FNA if the whole shavo: Warwick thing takes off. Along with the classic PRO of course.

Speaking from personal experience there's nothing quite like being on the receiving end of red-faced, hoarse, spittle-expectorating, screaming outrage for something one's ancestors supposedly did or didn't do over 1000 years ago, 40+ generations, whaddeva... In most cases I might agree.
