Thunderbird Club

I'm doing that Beer in the backyard thingy, 79 and perfect in Seattle
Very nice. I'm doing that beer in the living room thingy. :) Stopped by Other Half for a can release, where I got two 4-packs, then a friend who met me there gave me another 10 cans of other beers. Then the gym. So now my beer. And I have to get up super early in the morning to get to the aquarium. I'm on the volunteer dive team at the NY Aquarium. At least I have another two days after that to sleep in.

To tone control or not tone control, that is the question
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous orange drops,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of capacitors,
And by opposing end them
Though I don't use it often, if I want to be less pronounced in the mix, but still keep the volume and the low end, I'll turn down the tone, sometimes half way, sometime off completely. So it's not completely unused when I play, nice to have a bit more tonal variety from my bass. Nice for mellowed songs.

Or, stick a strong compressor and add an Overdrive or Distortion in the mix, turning the tone down gives you a good drive sound, great for 'Uprising' by Muse and songs of a similar style.

Don't use it much, but would probably miss it if it was gone. Just like the saying, "You don't know what you've got, till it's gone". (I'll stop there before I start singing a Cinderella classic). :D

Out, damned FSO! Out, I say!—One, two. Why, then, ’tis time to do ’t. Hell is murky!—Fie, my Queen, fie! Tort, and flats? What need we fear who knows it, when none can call our power to account?—Yet who would have thought the old man to have had so many dirt pedals in him.

You are simply priceless.

Why I love this place, it's doubtful any of us North Americans could command the English language in just such a way as this.

It changes colour under stage lights. The colours under lights are actually more vivid than these pics show- but you get the idea.
These guitar pickup shaped TB+s......... very good rock pickups.

Nice bass, not usually a fan of the LP Bass, but you really rock it. Nice added bonus with the colour change too, it's a nice effect on stage. Keep on rockin'

Bill Shakes did most of the work. He could write a bit that lad. Could hold a pint or two by all accounts, not one of your run of the mill shandy drinking effete southern dandies.

Damn that first video is an awful example. For the bridge pickup he plays at the neck pickup for the TB+ and then the bridge pickup for the '63. Then for both pickups, he switches to a pick. So this basically gives you nothing.
I hate it when they do that, why can't comparison videos show a fair test for everything, you can't get a clear example of the differences, and that's exactly what we need...

If it was me, it should have comparisons on each pickup, showing finger style, picking, and slap/pop style. It's the best way to show how they will sound for the benefit of everyone. Using the tone control would be beneficial too, but not everyone uses them.

I had way to much to drink last night, so on the edge of passing out right now.

Drink this -- has never given me a hangover yet.
