3 hunnerd bux??? That 'bird has a broken wing! Hell... it's practically your responsibility to give it a home!

(plus, ya gotta tell me what the neck is like;))
$. I'm selling stuff, that's where it's at. Many car repairs in a short time, bass repair, and two days out of work, I'm one paycheck shy of the soup line.

I'll be back... and that Bird will likely still be there.

Very easy fix, often when things break the solution isnt that simple. Are you gonna buy it?.
This is probably the first time I've ever seen a substantial break in a guitar, that didn't render it non-playable. Some decent wood glue & a clamp on a big clean snap like that... I'd fully expect a clean, easy repair... but at 3 hunnerd bux for neck-thru construction, I'd sand the edges down & play it, if the broken piece were lost!

Yeah it's a good deal. There may be a bass I'd rather save for, but there it is.

Well... when there was music, it had a groove... but all the weirdness just wrecks everything for me. With as revered as Zappa is, I know there's gotta be something there... but maybe I don't know what to look foro_O
I know what you mean. Take a good piece of music with a good riff, etc., and make it into a middle-school oriented joke. Kind of a shame- to make so much out of simple "shock value", I guess. As smart as he was, and as much good as he had to say when it mattered, from time to time he made himself dismissible.

Shut up and play yer guitar... yeah.

I submit for your approval my two Epiphone Classic Pro IV ‘birds.
Changed the hardware on both to chrome and added bicentennial birds to the pickguards (born in’76 and I think the special bird looks awesome! Certainly not trying to pass these as vintage! Lolz) also added hipshot detuners and relocated the strap buttons. Changed the truss rod cover on the white one for a white/black/white “tuxedo “ effect as well.
Thanks.

Hey man... I dig the W/B/W headstock! Makes for a cool unique look, without a drastic change to anything:cool::thumbsup:

The like wasn't because of your scene, I've been there. I still hit a wall or two myself. Wish I could help a fellow Bird bassist.

Hey guys,
I need a replacement bridge for my Epi. I dont want to get another 3 pointer. I want something that's black and is either a direct replacement or doesnt leave any of the holes from the previous bridge exposed. (And of course, it needs to work well)

What are my options?

So Mike @hillerup and I are doing a little neck swap. Here's the pair, his Goth for my Blackbird. The Goth is considerably wider at the nut than the BBird... getting it jigged onto the body this weekend, if all goes well.

Interesting also is the difference in headstock shape. The BBird is wider than the Goth...
WOW!!! When their side by side like that, the Goth neck looks a LOT wider!

You might look at one of the BABICZ FCH 3-POINT, FOUR STRING BASS BRIDGE (GIBSON STYLE)
