Looking good!! Were you able to figure out if the body was Basswood?
Nope but sure looks/feels like it to me. Basswood is pretty soft, moreso than alder I feel.
Basswood is also extremely light, right?
I wouldn't say extremely, it's on the lighter side.
Always found Basswood and Poplar to be pretty soft. Alder is more what I would consider "medium" density, whatever that means.
Ibanez are alder, harder to sand lol.
Particle board is the best. Such a great tone wood. Next to balsa, of course.
