This whole "ugly bass" thing is really boring. This is exactly what goes on in many anti-t-bird threads, which many here get their collective panties in a wad about. #hypocrites

If you don't like the rules of the forum, go somewhere else. There are plenty of outlets on the interwebs for moronic conversation. Continually effing with the agreed upon structure of the forum (remember, you agreed to that when you signed up) just insults our moderator, who gives her time and does not get a whole lot back in the form of compensation for the time given.

If your goal is "tweak" the "authority figures" in this forum, go do it where it might have some actual meaning, like say local level politics. (pick a party, I don't give a rats azz)

I am not so concerned that people have differing opinions or opinions at all. Voice your opinions till the cows come home. Do it in the fashion and the spirit WHICH YOU AGREED TO when you signed up for the forum.

So now that I'm here, has anyone touched or seen specs on the new Epi Vintage? I know, probably not. I'm curious about nut width and neck thickness. I used to think I liked a bigger neck( precision) till I got my TBird. Now I'd be all set if it only had chrome instead of black hardware. Unfortunately Gibsons new 2018 models are using black hardware too so as much as I want the " real deal" I'm leaning towards the Epiphone. Buehler? Buehler?
Still waiting for delivery. I would buy the Vintage Pro over any of Gibsons offerings.

Opinions, everyone has one and in my opinion, no one is tweaking anything, myself included. There are rules and we are honoring the rules as they have been explained to us. I honestly asked for a clarification and received it and your "rant" can definitely be construed as non-compliant with Rule #1.

Calling people hypocrites and moronic certainly falls outside of Rule #1.
____________________________________________________________________

Rule #1: Respect your fellow members. All registered users must address fellow members with the utmost respect at all times. If you do not agree with a fellow member, be courteous in your response. Thomas Jefferson said it best: "When I hear another express an opinion which is not mine, I say to myself, he has a right to his opinion, as I to mine".

Because of the limitations of text based communication, the expression of intent can be tricky. One of the most common triggers of rule violations is the misinterpretation of intent behind a post. Use smilies often, and remember, it never hurts to begin a response with "In my opinion"...

If you do not address everyone on the board with respect, be prepared to lose your membership.

My opinion, so by your standards, I am on solid ground. My response is courteous. I called the conversation moronic, not members. Mentioning that the behavior is hypocritical, in a general sense, is not insulting anyone or anything ina direct manner. Reading is fundamental.

I've only seen two people that have received the Vintage Pro, both are in Canada (surprisingly!), and both can be found here New Epiphone Basses

Semantics... own up to the fact that you were and continue to be insulting to members here, apologize, correct your behavior and move on.

The "reading is fundamental" barb was uncalled for but you persist.

You can only own one of these 2 purple beauties...... Which would you prefer and why? (Don't forget, free speech is OK as long as you don't use the word UGLY, unless you already own the son-of-a-Afro-Cuban-percussion-instrument, whose name shall not be spoken in the same sentence as the word "ugly"! ;))

Id like to thank the lovely lady runs this forum for allowing this hack into your secret fraternity. Unlike a few other secret societies I'm a member of there were no goats involved.

We haven't discussed your iniation................... Goats at twenty paces perhaps?

I'm not a lefty. But the usual complaint I here from lefty's is that the knobs get in the way. I don't see that if your a finger player instead of a pick. Of course I'm probably wrong. I'll go ask the wife, she's always quick to tell me when I'm talking out the wrong end.

Now there is a stereotype that is probably unwarranted - lefty's knobs get in the way of playing...

I'll show myself out again :bag:
