Well, thank the Lord that someone called Trump hasn't designed a new bass that looks like a loo seat... That's all I'm sayin'...
There is another politician model out:

It’s called the “Groper”. Sounds good at first, then it just looks bad and sounds worse, so you hide it in the closet with your other skeletons

You can only own one of these 2 purple beauties...... Which would you prefer and why? (Don't forget, free speech is OK as long as you don't use the word UGLY, unless you already own the son-of-a-Afro-Cuban-percussion-instrument, whose name shall not be spoken in the same sentence as the word "ugly"! ;))

The inlays on the P are atrocious. Can I use that word?

Since I feel deficient in humbuckers, I guess it’s be the drum machine

Colorwise I prefer the color of the Oingo Boingo, but I would prefer The Precision Bass with a rosewood neck...

You're trying to bait me? Aren't you!? I guess that Bongo ain't so bad. I do like the finish better than the purple sparkle, but, I do love my Precision! Now! In clivem's defense I will confess I've only laid my hands on one actual, real, American Musicmam/Ernie Ball/ Stingray in my life. Even got to use it at a rehearsal for a day and couldn't handle the weight, the neck was too thick front to back and I couldn't dial in a tone that could compete with two les pauls.
Now, I'm sure they're fine instruments and I won't deny that if I played one I might have a change of heart but until the stores start hanging them on the wall for me to try I'm gonna have to stay with what's tried and true. Either the T-Bird or my Am Std P.

So now that I'm here, has anyone touched or seen specs on the new Epi Vintage? I know, probably not. I'm curious about nut width and neck thickness. I used to think I liked a bigger neck( precision) till I got my TBird. Now I'd be all set if it only had chrome instead of black hardware. Unfortunately Gibsons new 2018 models are using black hardware too so as much as I want the " real deal" I'm leaning towards the Epiphone. Buehler? Buehler?

Have you owned a P? Herein lies the challenge... who could possibly know what you've owned. ;)

Actually have an American P Special, probably owned 10 over the years

Then I believe you may compose a post that goes something like this:

"I've owned 10 P basses over the years and that to me is really ugly."

...and you'd be within your rights and within the rules as set-forth in the Forum Rules and rule #4 more specifically at least as I have understood it to mean.
