I've never been a fan of gig bags for any bass with a pitched headstock, but Thunderbirds especially need the protection of a hard case. When you consider the price of a good quality bag, there isn't a whole lot of difference in terms of money.

That’s a great point. I’m still gonna use bags on local gigs, but for tours, it’ll probably ride in a case

Definitely a valid point, but these better soft cases (more accurate than gig bag) have cradles for the neck near the headstock.

As part of that, I set up her own Microsoft account. She gets her own email address and access to the app store and it is all filtered to be age appropriate. Fast forward to now. She wanted an MP3 player for Xmas. As I probed, it was clear that what she wanted was a player in the form factor of a phone. Well, you can't get anything that isn't a phone in that form factor (except an iPod touch which are no longer being made and I have multiple issues with Apple). So, the simple solution is get a cheapish android phone and don't install a sim card.

So, Google claims that they do child accounts. But, as you try to set it up, the only way to do it is through the family app which is not available in Canada; can't spoof my location to get access to it. Can't be done online; it has to be through the app. Everything is just a pain to make happen. I have installed an app to lock down the phone so that it does Spotify and no a lot else.

Microsoft made it so easy and Google has made it all so difficult. I really wish Microsoft still did windows phones - the set up consisted of putting in your Microsoft account and since my daughter has that, it would all just work.

TL;DR - all this computer nonsense makes life difficult. Get off my lawn.

After an initial snow flurry, we got rain. Freezing rain. so we have the most delightful parking lots and stairs now, donchaknow...

And, with a windows PC, you must install iTunes; I have had many issues with iTunes, from re-arrangements of songs/artists/albums to persistence despite being uninstalled (getting rid of iTunes is akin to getting rid of nasty malware).

Yeah down here more than so, unfortunately. I'd like to know who the fn' moron was that thought this land was prime real estate and an ideal location to create a society in. What was he thinking?, where did he find so many clowns who believed in that same vision enough to act on it?.
