Thunderbird Club

Love that bass Carlo, I doubt you could ever post too many pics of it. The reddish finish just makes it even cooler.

That's mostly the light (fluorescent) and the preference to emphasize reds in almost all digital cameras. This is closer to what it looks like in reality to my eyes.

Although whoever was mixing/ shooting toner in Kalamazoo that day may have been a little over enthusiastic.:)

An Epi IV. I'm looking for the white version and haven't found one for sale yet.

Whichever Epi you choose the neck pocket will have to be routed to fit the wider Fender neck. Or you can shave the neck to fit the pocket.

Offer $10!

Something tells me there won’t be a ‘make offer’ button for awhile on these :)
They do look cool though. I kinda like the big (graphic) sliders. Could make things easier/faster live

Only worth that price with an intact head stock IMO.

Unless there were examples of both in 1964, the dark fades at the neck heal and nut area suggest a repair. My '64 II is devoid of those dark fades.

There was a popular show on Australia TV back in the 70s and 80s called Countdown.
It was a music show featuring bands "of the day" and was compered by an unusual fellow called Ian Meldrum. They have been running a compilation series of "best ofs" recently.
I have noticed that T Birds were not uncommon sightings in the mid/ late 70s episodes. I am sure some of the ones I have spotted were Bicentennial Birds but I couldn't be sure if some were older. I wonder what happened to them because I reckon I have only seen one Bicentennial Bird for sale in Oz in the last 15 years or so (and it sold overseas as I recall it).
I bet some quick thinkin' guy in Japan picked 'em all up and is presently selling them on eBay;)

Checked tracking on my Cataldo. Was supposed to arrive yesterday, but didn’t. Not the end of the world. Checked tracking again today and it said, “label created by not yet in the system.” The shipping gods aren’t my friends lately...still pretty sure I’ll get the bass today though :)

DO NOT!, leave the house, if possible.

I know you're a busy man, Understood.

Just need to get packing material to ship a cab, then trying to get two more ready to wire. Was hoping to get a bike ride in at 3, but that’s up to the shipping gods :)
