Thunderbird Club

Call it Æthelred the Unready.
My first car carried that name. Well earned. It was a 1954 Triumph TR-2. It was the perfect car. But, it was always bad council (which is a more accurate translation from old English). Bad ideas that are fun aren't new behavior. Now hold my beer...

How could we not? Firefly and Serenity were the best!
Yeah, that was low hanging fruit for this crew.
Why do all the shows I like get cancelled?
Why do more people know more about what's happening with the Kardashiens than their own friends family and community?
Sorry, rant over. Good thing tomorrow is national curmudgeon day!
I'm the grand Marshall in the parade!

I'm not a good candidate for vintage gear. Not only am I not able to afford it... I also love it too much. I'm always afraid I'm gonna hurt it. I always feel like I'm abusing it when all I'm doing is using it. It's just a huge psych-out for me. They just wind up sitting in their cases, not getting used... and that's the ultimate sin IMO. I'm far more at home on re-issues and new instruments built the old way. Plus... that 2013 335 has dual guitar size humbuckers instead of the mudbucker;)

<edit>

Never ask me about dates. My calendar only goes from 1970 to 1989. Not much better with names I'm afraid...

The ES 335 Bass is a goodun. The pickups are guitar sized TB+s which are really nice.

Curious what everyone thinks of the new Dingwall D Birds everyone in GP is so gaga about. This year they will be releasing the import version so it won’t be so crazy expensive. I actually think they look...good? Kinda? I find the tiny headstock a bit off putting. My main issue is they sound nothing like a ‘Bird. I didn’t get mine for the looks, though I think mine look nice.
Dingwall necks are really nice though
