My thermos ran out by 10 AM... been drinking tea and thinking about my favorite Thunderbird bass since then.

(See what I did there. Can't claim I'm just padding the numbers.) ;)
Masterfully played, sir!

I’m mostly thinking I hope my tech is done working on the ‘02 by the time I’m back in town on Monday. Not optimistic as he said he had about 20 guitars ahead of mine. He said if not Monday, mid week next week. Experience tells me to at least double that before I start making concerned phone calls

I was just trying to think what different styles I used to subject my lovely old Tokai bird to back when we were doing the covers thing, and found this - the setlist from the only 3-set show we ever did. Our usual 2-set shows used to go for about 2 and a half hours, but this one was a killer. I was just getting over the flu, and was singing lead on about 80% of the show, so by the end of it I think half of my throat was splattered across the beer soaked carpet of Jacks Club in Bedworth. Also the only night we ever had our name in lights!

Nice song choices.

Is that normal to only do two set cover shows where you are?
We do four sets normally with three ten minute breaks.
I hate the ones that start at 9.00. Had it by the end of load out.

Thanks. But sorry, I'm not quite understanding the method of stringing here.
Stick the string in the post
wrap it around the post by hand as many turns as make sense.
Slip the ball end into the tailpiece.
Tighten as usual.

I have been playing the P-Bird a bit lately, but the 2001 will come out tonight. Gotta see how it is with the new bridge.

Playing in pubs on a Saturday night you’d usually start around 9, but the majority will call time at 11 or 12, so 2 sets is usually standard with a 20 minute break for our ageing drummer to recover!
