I can't prove it, but I get a sense that most of the folks I speak with here each day, are just being themselves. IMHO... that's what makes this place special!:)

Agree, but you have to keep in mind those British beans are actually the original recipe imported into the UK by Heinz (from Pittsburgh) over 120 years ago. Today we literally have dozens of canned (tinned) bean types and recipes.
If we want to make a proper fryup however (you know, shrooms, tomatoes black pudding, danish bacon etc.) nothing beats the old Heinz recipe that's only available to us at the British specialty shop..

I tend to agree, I do like the luthiers corner too, some good knowledge in there but there's an awful lot of rubbish too, actually there is some awful advice now I think about it but the good makes up for it and I do learn from it, as I do here. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of my type of humour out in the GP but here everybody is more adaptable.

Black pudding in the states??? Really?

You make me feel guilty about the beans now, still would prefer something like BBQ or Boston beans with my breakfast

MMMM. Hold the 'shrooms and I'm in.Just never developed a taste for toadstools-except portabello w/ risotto.:)

Yup! the Brit specialty shops carry it as does a "European"market in Jensen Beach(between Ft. Pierce and Stuart)
