I'm not certain I follow your logic. What is the need for a comparator? If it were me, I'd put 'em in & go, "Ooo yeah! I really like that!", or "Ooo... I really don't like that so much". That being said... it seems like regl'r ol' TB+s would be the perfect comparator, due to the fact that they are undoubtedly the pickups with which the majority of us are most familiar.

Possibly very true. Not too long ago Mojo said they were a faithful copy of the original Tbird pickup although they use the wrong magnet but I suspect what they meant is they sound very similar. So I was hoping for a sound comparable with Lulls or Thunderbuckers rather than TB+s but yes they are a valid reference point I could post up here side by side

Just thinking, if I plug the bass directly into the mic socket on my laptop and use Windows sound recorder to capture the sound out of my pups, could someone else say do the same thing who has Lulls etc on their PC to use as an accurate comparison?
Totally different, The Lollars are much smoother, more even sounding through out the tonal spectrum. They can go from grind to big and fat. They are a bit in the hi-fi realm, but i eq that out.
The ChinaBuckers are inherently aggressive. Like they've got a built in overdrive. They will always have that inherent tone, where as the Lollars can be shaped to sound like anything.

The Empire is different as well.
The United Kingdom is made up of England, Scotland (unless you happen to be Sean Connery), Wales, and Northern Ireland. The Empire was the United Kingdom + all the colonies (including for a time those rogues in the 13 American colonies who didn't like tea). The Empire was dismantled following WWII with each colony (that was not yet soveriegn) being granted sovereignty.

I know you are definitely not English and may not consider yourself British but Wales is part of Great Britain, right?
I know the history. Sometimes(not often, I admit)in the interest of brevity I have been known to shorten things. Besides, I can't spell Wales.

Wales is part of Great Britain as is Ulster and as the Indian nations are part of the US
There has been in the past a similar but smaller struggle for independence from London rule here in Wales as there was in Ulster. People died here too in a fight to gain our freedom just as they did across the water. It remains an extremely sore point to many Welsh to this day.
All I ask is you don’t insult me by calling me British. I have nothing against the English at all but I am Welsh not British, my family have strong links with the Welsh struggle, one even imprisoned on charges of terrorism by MI5 (falsely I add).
OK. If you were to use a gig bag for you T-Bird ( and thumb your nose at the broken head stock Gods), which would you choose?
