It's unbelievably lightweight, I've never have believed it, my little 30W Marshall practice amp is almost as heavy

I got an R40 for our small gigs. When I took it outta the carton, I nearly threw it into the ceiling. The thing weighs 15# less than my 17 year old Bassman 25-and has 15 more watts.

That can't possibly be the original finish... With no checking or yellowing it's very unlikely to be original.

That was me. In looking at pictures of 60s Thunderbirds the tailpiece is much closer to the body edge so that's where I installed it. I didn't take into account on Classic and Vintage Pro's the whole bridge assembly is moved forward.
I probably should have left it where it was, it functioned just fine. One reason why I priced it so cheap.

Would you say this is accurate?
