That was me. In looking at pictures of 60s Thunderbirds the tailpiece is much closer to the body edge so that's where I installed it. I didn't take into account on Classic and Vintage Pro's the whole bridge assembly is moved forward.
I probably should have left it where it was, it functioned just fine. One reason why I priced it so cheap.

The bass is alive, really sings Scott. I'm more than happy with it.

You know, I'm not positive that IS Pelham Blue, it looks way too turquoise. Given all it's wear, I'm assuming it has a fair amount of yellowing, and Pelham usually comes out way more green that that. Not only that, but it doesn't look like a Poly (metallic) finish, looks like a flat color (don't really see and sparkle to it). But then where you see the wear on the neck, it does look very blue, still not very metallic however.

I agree, but i'm certainly no expert on what's really going on with that finish.

I think you're right. At the back of the neck where the lacquer has worn away it is a flat colour underneath, the cracks in the finish look over aged too. Also the wear on the neck looks to be up from the 12th fret, me I never play up there much, I would have expected the wear to be closer to the nut
