Thunderbird Club

Used to always stand on the gig, now I prop my @$$ on a stool.:smug: Mom's been gone since '06.

No shame in sitting and playing. I can think of one great who did that.

Saw him on the same ticket as Jeff Beck and SRV. For the encore, all three played together.

Yep! I am planning on installing some different pickups - I’ve got SD’s on my black TBird and currently doing research for this one. I’m leaning toward Lollar. If anybody has input or advice on that, please share!

I have a set of Lollars in one of mine. Smooth, rich, and can take any eq you throw at them.

You're the first SD guy I've encountered! We talk a lot about ThunderBuckers, Lulls, Lollars, & "ChinaBuckers"... and, of course Gibson/Epi. Can I ask for your impression of the Duncans, as compared to some of these others?

Unfortunately, I have zero point of reference and can't really answer that. All I can really say is they sound amazing, lol. I'm a recent Gibson convert after playing nothing but P-Basses for 20 years. So glad I gave the Thunderbird a shot - it does everything I tried to make the PBass do and so much more. Once I decide on a pair for the NR, I'll be more than happy to provide a comparison!

Did you install the pups on your reverse? If so did you play it with the Gibson ones?
You now Gibson buckers on your NR so with the right/same strings you may be able to establish a baseline.
