You will notice that none of the ball carriers lowered a shoulder into the tackler like an American football player would do. That's how to get your arm broken off playing rugby.

I miss hitting like that. I don't miss the next three days after doing that all afternoon. Some of those hits were going to leave bruises, but you don't feel them that much until later. Then you feel all of them for the rest of the week. Aside from the time it takes just for training and matches, recovery time was why I stopped playing. It was taking all week to get more or less back to normal, and then it was time do to it all again. Of course, I was a complete moron who would play two or three matches on a Saturday instead of just one. That only magnified the damage.

What is a Pic????????????????? I haven't played with a Pic since I was in junior high, and that was over 5 decades ago.
This may be the only Pic I use.........

Hey, you can use a hammer or saw as far as I'm concerned. I was just saying I don't play with a pick any longer. I do know plenty of great players that do. And even Carol Kay was a great pic player. Just not my gig. Plus using a pic on my uprights is really not a possibility. I meant no harm with the remark.

Sorry for the nasty digital distortion in the background, I really need a new AI, think it's a grounding issue. I'll let y'all discuss before I give my impressions and say which one is which.

I like both, assuming the first in each pair are the same I like the first, through my crappy laptop speaker it has a fuller darker sound

This is a challenge for me. I've not experienced either pickup in person, and have only the descriptions I've read here in the club, to base this on. My guess is that the first in each set is the Greco...

Yet another TSO has landed at the Ponderosa. Jackson Kellybird with the mahogany body. I had the next model up with the flamed top, nice bass especially for the money but it was very heavy.
I found this on Reverb NOS for $189 plus shipping for a grand total of $228.00. I really like it it is pretty light, nice neck, good fret fret work , fit and finish are excellent and not a mark on it I don't think anyone ever played it. The strings are dead lol, going to put some Rotos on it.
All in all a very nice bass for very little dough. I think this one will hang around for awhile.
