Thunderbird Club

I dont think so. Hit it right in the mark and I took it in the manner it was intended.

I really misread the post - totally thought it was about Geoff's bass - sorry!

To get your ticket stamped for entry into the TBird club?

Gibson plus TBird P/U's and you're in?

IMO, our Queen must rule.

@TBird1958

Well we have many members that don't own Gibson Thunderbirds - Which I'm fine with, I have 5 Gibsons and 6 that aren't. To me it's the iconic shape, Ray Dietrich really got it right - No other shape bass feels right on me let alone look good to me - and that's before we talk about tone :)
Besides, veebass has a Gibson 'Bird already.

Does it count if it is a Gibson with Thunderbird plus pickups but not actually a TBird?

I'm thinking you have a Bass IV, which I like very much, too bad they've gone up in price so much - If I ever play in a "normal" band it'd be perfect.

While the SS TBird is a great bass, both of these are definitely overpriced considering the condition.

Glad I got mine for $700 with no dings, and had been professionally setup with the work order to prove it.
I talked to one of the Gibson/Epiphone sales reps and there was some interest in making an Epi version of the SS TBird, but haven't seen anything about it.
I'd definitely give one a look if they are ever released.

Interested in a trade? I have a minty Anniversary Edition 2014 Gibson SG Bass in glorious nitrocellulose finish.
