I used to hang out with his younger brother Mike, who seems to have disappeared. Played in HS band with Steve Morse's brother, too. Met Andy and Steve briefly, but at the time I was just Andy's kid brother's friend, which made us punks (before punk became a form of music or lifestyle). Of course, we kinda were...

Do we know each other? Mike and I used to hang pretty hard, I was at pretty much every Dregs show and Mark Morse and I also played together in high school (he had that nice SG with the Bigsby). In high school and just after I was playing around Augusta with this guitarist Raymond Collings in a kind of Dregs wanna-be band called the JOHN DOE BAND.

Oh, and not that I've had occasion to re-establish contact with him, but Mike's living and working in Greenville SC, doing IT for some company there. Still riding motorcycles..

How did the scroll surgery turn out?

It’s not gonna win any beauty contests but it’s holding well. While the glue was setting up, the clamps must’ve shifted a little, bit not terrible. Can’t really tell from a distance, but it’s still a bit sad

We're you used to using this setup for other basses? The Thunderbird really doesn't need much help.

What string were you using?

The setup was partly new- the 410 cab. The strings were the ones I got it with, lol. They felt good, so I went with it.
I haven't had time, believe this, to throw those strings you sent me onto anything yet! I'll try those KS Burners on n the Bird I think.

I may not have my own pets. But the rest of my fam. does. They are all such wonderful creatures.
I’m am ever so grateful they love me back as much as I love them.

For Kat, I don't think Jeff Beck ever smashed a guitar. He was known to throw them in the studio out of frustration (with others), but would pick them up and start playing again. Not smashed.
